Out an abundance of dreams, we are creating something together that transcends fear, and taps into creative connections everywhere. Times like these are when we need that connection more than ever.
This March Dreamkeeper News introduces our Out of an ABUNDANCE OF DREAMS Program for schools not in session. We also celebrate a community outpouring of support and creative design in the Not Only From Olney, first-ever Dreamline art gallery installation.
And this past month more than 250 images from students at the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Delphi programs went online through Dreamline World to accompany their installation at Philadelphia’s Ronald McDonald House (where each banner is phone readable!) – and just in time. We’ll also highlight a new Banner Samples page you’ll love and give a quick update on June 7.
To follow on the February news for our Home Depot in Mexico program, Eduardo, Celina, and Amanda had a fantastically successful Dreamline Mexico Road Trip in February, bussing for four days across Veracruz and creating a wave of support from Home Depot employees. Enjoy all 29 photos in our FB album HERE.
OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF DREAMS
CREATING AND ASSEMBLING DREAMLINES REMOTELY AND SAFELY
When Marzieh Abedi from Iran and Vivian Sun from San Francisco got in touch with me, we got to work. Both had the same concern. Marzieh’s students at Farzanegan 1 High School were signed up to participate in Dreamline but were not in session (weeks ago), and Vivian’s volunteers from Salesforce Corporation wanted to support Dreamline–without physically going to schools. What we came up with is the Dream Abundance Program where any group of students with access to a device for video and audio–phone, tablet, or computer–and a piece of paper can have the full Dreamline experience. The end result is a physical Dreamline of safe digitally interactive Banners for public display and a global digital Dreamline of humanly interactive hope!
OUR STUDENTS NEED YOUR HELP as a volunteer or donor to this program to keep their dreams alive now, when the connection matters most!
If you’re a student group leader, you can apply now to participate and bring Dreamline to your students while they’re at home.

JUST IN TIME DREAMS
INSTALLATION OF MUSEUM DREAMS AT RMH PHILADELPHIA BEFORE THE DOOR SHUT
This past week, I got an email from Erin Sullivan at Philadelphia’s Ronald McDonald House. It was to tell me that outside visitors would be strictly limited to protect the ill children and their families who stay there. But it was NOT before the installation of more than 120 beautifully crafted Dreamline Banners, created by students in the Delphi Program of the Philadelphia Museum of Art! That installation had gone in days before and will remain to inspire the house residents in the challenging times ahead. Many thanks to Joseph Iocona at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for making this happen, and just in time. Going forward, Ronald McDonald House is exploring Dreamline programming at this facility and others.

FIRST EVER GALLERY INSTALLATION SETS A HIGH BAR
From February 9 to March 1 for eight hours every weekend, people walked off the busy sidewalk near Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square to find moments of quiet, to slow down their day, reflect on the dreams of a child, and on their own dreams. This magical transformation happened because of the outpouring of community spirit, especially from Wendy Born (co-owner of the Metropolitan Bakery) and Joy Waldinger (art teacher at Olney Charter.) The result was our Not Only from Olney installation at Metropolitan Gallery 250 in Philadelphia. On the opening day, the gallery was filled with proud students, their families and their teachers from Olney Charter High School in North Philadelphia. They made the long trip to Center City to celebrate. You can feel the energy in the pictures linked below and walk through the gallery in our video interview. Our dream is that this is the first of many installations to come. It set an appropriately high bar for supercharging our students’ dreams.

BANNERS TO EXPLORE, INSPIRE & SHARE
A NEW RESOURCE FOR FRIENDS OF DREAMLINE THAT TAKES YOU AROUND THE WORLD FROM YOUR COUCH
In the online gallery at dreamline.org, as of this writing you’ll find 2,403 Dream Banners posted by teachers around the world. It would take you a while to look through them all. So for the sake of simplicity, education, and enjoyment, we’ve created a BANNER SAMPLE page where you’ll find three banners each from: China, Haiti, Mexico, Morocco, Tanzania, UAE, Zambia, and the US states of Pennsylvania, Wyoming, North Dakota, Utah, California, Texas, and Alaska. Links from each take you to voice recordings in multiple languages, transcripts and translations to English, Google Maps of where they’re from, and links to share. Hope when you need it.

JUNE 7, 2020
10 am to 5 pm (UTC-4)
We hope that by June 7 we will have the green light for gatherings and that we can join in force–both in person and remotely–to celebrate the power of aligned dreams. However, …
THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ONLINE!
One of the things we all need in order to learn is community. That is why having schools out of session is so challenging–not because of the logistics, or access to technology, or disruptions to schedule. Those are all extremely potent disruptions to learning. But the disruption of community is, in my view, the most powerful disruption because we all learn socially. My dream is that out of an Abundance of Dreams, we will find ways to forge an abundance of community because that’s where care–and caution– starts and ends. Please be in touch about participation in our Abundance program and any other ideas you have for our Dreamline community.
Yours in abundance,
–Jeffrey
Hello, I am a teacher and am currently working with 3 -4 students in their home. We’d like very much to participate in the “out of an abundance of dreams” project and can cover the costs. Kindly inform us if our small group size will be eligible. We’re currently residing in Singapore.
Thank you
