FEATURE STORY
Vison & Voice on June 4th
On Sunday June 4th more than 900 people came through the doors of Cherry Street Pier and …
… were met with the vision of more than a thousand student Dreams from around the world fluttering in the breeze, the words of some of those dreams from the voices of Dunbar Elementary students and others on stage, the dream story of community activist Ryan Harris, the hopes of Dreamline students in Iran on the jumbotron Zoom screen and live musicians connecting it all together. We were energized and inspired by our first live event since 2019 and can’t wait for next year.

A huge thanks to all of the volunteers who showed up early on Sunday to make this event happen: Laura Matheny, Maureen Glaccum, Sarah Kinder, Virginia Friedman, John Campbell, Jim Cosby, Nate Harlan, Emma Ryan, Joy Waldinger, Amanda Earl, Jose Sevillano, Miriam Harlan, Eric Webber, Abigail Jones, Dan Lai, Lourin Plant, Ron Carleton, Serita Lewis, Barbara Bassett, Stephen Waldinger, Theresa Waldinger, Shannon Coulter, and Matias Ohr. Also to the Cherry Street Crews.
And the event would never have happened without our generous donors (see more below) and the dedicated work of each and every Dreamline teacher and students (3,000 of them) who participated in 2022-23.
PROGRAM PROGRESS
NEXT YEAR’S DREAMLINE
In 2023-24 Dreamline will offer two Dreamline programs: one for schools and groups with an interest in building global connection but with limited time available, and another for organizations who can commit the time for deeper engagement and the changes that come with it in empathy, belonging, agency and prosociality. The summer will provide time to modify our program, based on findings from our 2022-23 pilot programs, and to finalize the delivery of these two Dreamline experiences.
| For local participant teachers to distribute to students. This 3-5 Lesson Dreamline Activity resources subscription will be available at no cost for 40 educators or youth leaders in 2023-24. | This 20 Lesson Dreamline Curriculum Program subscription will be available for a per teacher fee or for grant funded programs in 2023-24. |
